Question 05

How often should scaffolding be inspected?

Scaffolding should be inspected at regular intervals to ensure it remains safe for use throughout the duration of work.

In the Indian context, scaffolds must be inspected before they are first used, after any modification or alteration, and after any event that may affect their stability, such as heavy winds, rain, or impact. In addition, a daily visual inspection before work begins is considered good safety practice on most construction and industrial sites.

For ongoing projects, periodic inspections are also recommended at defined intervals based on site conditions, scaffold type, and duration of use. High-risk or heavily loaded scaffolds may require more frequent checks.

At Uniquo, we follow a structured inspection schedule to ensure continuous safety compliance, helping reduce risks and ensuring that scaffolding remains stable and fit for safe use at all times.
