Question 03
What types of anchors are tested?
Pullout testing is carried out on a wide range of anchors and fastening systems used in concrete and masonry structures to verify their load-bearing capacity and installation quality.
In the Indian construction and infrastructure sector, commonly tested anchors include:
- Mechanical anchors: such as expansion bolts, wedge anchors, and sleeve anchors
- Chemical (resin) anchors: including epoxy, vinyl ester, and polyester-based anchoring systems
- Cast-in anchors: embedded anchor bolts installed during concrete pouring
- Rebar dowels and starter bars: used for structural extensions and connections
- Post-installed rebar connections: used for strengthening and retrofitting works
- Façade and cladding anchors: used in building envelope and elevation systems
- Specialized industrial anchors: used for machinery foundations and heavy equipment installations
These anchors are tested to ensure they can safely resist the design loads and perform reliably under service conditions.
At Uniquo, we conduct pullout testing in accordance with project specifications, IS standards, and international guidelines to ensure safety, durability, and compliance across construction and infrastructure projects in India.
