Question 01

What is a pullout test?

A Pullout Test is a type of in-situ testing method used to determine the strength and load-bearing capacity of anchors, fasteners, or embedded fixtures installed in concrete or masonry structures.

In this test, a controlled tensile load is applied to the installed anchor or fixing using a calibrated testing device until a specified load is reached or the system shows movement. The test helps verify whether the installation meets the required design load and safety standards.

In the Indian construction and infrastructure sector, pullout tests are commonly used in projects such as buildings, bridges, metro systems, industrial structures, and façade installations to ensure proper anchoring of bolts, rods, and fasteners.

This testing is typically carried out as per project specifications, IS standards, or international guidelines depending on the client requirements.

At Uniquo, we perform pullout tests to verify installation quality, ensure structural safety, and support compliance requirements across construction and engineering projects in India.
